2019 Richmond Women’s Health and Fitness Expo

Featuring Fitness Trainer & Motivational Speaker, Shaun T

Richmond, VA - The Richmond Women’s Health and Fitness Expo will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00am – 4:00pm at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.  This year, the Expo is celebrating its 17th anniversary of providing information to lead a healthy lifestyle through healthy cooking demonstrations with recipes, the latest trends in fitness, and whole life wellness.

Started in 2002, the Expo has attracted a dedicated community of followers, including thousands of attendees, local businesses, wellness professionals and healthcare institutions making it Richmond’s largest women’s health event.

Attendees come from a broad spectrum of ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds, but, all have an interest in learning, experiencing, trying, and buying health-related products and services.

According to the National Partnership for Women and Families, women are the health care decision makers in the United States.  They make approximately 80 percent of the health care decisions and take the lead role in choosing health plans, scheduling doctor’s appointments, and making sure loved ones are getting the care they need.  They are the researchers, networkers, and advocates for their families and themselves.  As Richmond’s largest healthcare event, the Expo attracts thousands of women who make major health, wellness, food, and fitness decisions for their families.

In addition to over 100 booths and exhibits covering both health and fitness, cooking demonstrations and fitness workouts, the Expo provides attendees with tips for implementing an overall healthier lifestyle. “The Doctor Is In” will feature local doctors on-hand to answer your personal questions. There are also some fun elements to enjoy, such as a fashion show, shopping, and tastings with local wineries.

This year’s Expo will feature three stages: The Fitness Stage, The Cooking Stage, and The Lifestyle Stage.  Each stage is filled with high-energy, motivational speakers showcasing the newest trends in living healthy across all areas of life. Making a return to The Fitness Stage this year is Fitness Motivator, Shaun T!  Shaun T was a part of the Expo in 2016 and is back leading a 1-hour Workout Session and a 1-hour Q&A Session with attendees who have purchased a workout ticket in advance. Eat your way to wellness as Jessica DeLuise bridges the gap between medicine and your kitchen on the Virginia This Morning Cooking Stage.  Other chefs will be showcasing recipes using your favorite kitchen gadgets such as an Instant Pot and an Air Fryer! Organize your life and be inspired with motivational speakers on The Lifestyle Stage. Topics include, decluttering your home, spirituality, and fashion.

Previous Expo speakers and guests include Shift Shop creator Chris Downing, 21-Day Fix celebrity trainer, Autumn Calabrese, USA Soccer Olympian Christie Pearce Rampone, Olympic gold medalist gymnast Shannon Miller, and Dr. Oz.

After spending the day with an amazing array of speakers, chefs, nutritionists, fitness experts, trainers, and physicians, Expo attendees will come away with tools and ideas needed to help lead a healthier, more active and more fulfilling life.

General Expo tickets are $4 and are sold at the door while workout tickets for the Fitness Stage range in price and may be purchased in advance online.  For more information, visit www.rvahealthexpo.com
