ABOUT THIS EXPO
The mission of the Richmond Alternative Health Expo is to expand awareness of natural, complementary and alternative health into less informed areas of the Richmond community. Attending this event is free to the public.
Our expo format is:
1. ORGANIZED by CATEGORY: Because the focus of this expo is public education, the exhibit will be arranged by category, not by business. The categories are largely based upon data from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
2. BY INVITATION: The expo team searched for the most appropriate exhibitors to invite to represent each category. Invitees were selected based upon their reputation, interpersonal and communication skills.
3. EMBRACING BOOTH SHARING: Our expo model embraces booth sharing to present as many local experts as possible while keeping the cost per exhibitor low.
Ideal exhibitors for our events are professionals who value collaboration over competition, and who enjoy group dynamics and team building. Practitioners who fit best into our format are enthusiastic about getting to know others and respect diversity and different approaches to health and well being, even in their field of expertise.
Our intention is to expand awareness through education via the presentation of many different modalities, paths, and practitioners with dignity and respect for all.
Barbara Marsh, publisher/editor of Natural Awakenings Magazine of Greater Richmond, and Ellen Mahloy Wheeler, founder of Reiki with Angels™, co-founded this event.
When the expo sells out, potential exhibitors may request to be put on our wait list. We will contact people on the wait list if we have cancellations. If you know a practitioner who you think would be a great fit for our expo, please email us about the individual: who they are, why you recommend them, and how we may contact them. Thank you!
